She passed away in the month of October 2000. Her parents worked in vaudeville and she was a professional actress after being an elevator operator. One of London's most recognizable roles came starring in the role of Dixie McCall, R.N. Emergency! from 1972 to in 1978. The actress was featured in several films, and also co-starred alongside Rock Hudson in The Fat Man (1951). Julie London co-starred with Robert Taylor and John Cassavetes in the 1958 film Saddle the Wind and with Robert Mitchum in the 1959 film The Wonderful Country. She released 32 albums throughout the 1950s and 60s and her most popular track was "Cry Me a River". In 1974, London was nominated to the Golden Globe Award for Emergency! From 1947 until 1954 she was married to Jack Webb and from 1959 until 1999, she was married to Bobby Troup. Julie London passed away on October 18, 2000 at 74 years old.
